Lately, I find myself very cost conscious when I go shopping and I believe many of you share the same sentiment.

With the current financial situation, we have to be wise when we go shopping for anything - personal items to household stuff. It’s great to know that many departmental stores are offering sales, discounts and rebate vouchers. It somewhat feels good to be ‘rewarded’ when you go shopping for the things you need. The rewards can be in the form of cash or rebate vouchers, it doesn’t matter. What matters most is that you feel that you are getting value our of your shopping purchases. True?

Surely, this may not be the right time to go shopping for luxury items unless you are not feeling the credit crunch. Our anniversary is coming and I don’t think I’ll be asking for any anniversary gifts to begin with. Maybe DH can wait for a better time to get his Corum watches and I don’t seeing myself buying any luxury bag or clothing when I go shopping in Singapore next weekend.

I’m sure many of you are still shopping online and that’s ok. Just do your shopping research thoroughly before parting with your hard earned money. Go shopping online with a little care and wit and you may end up piling your shopping savings for your buys.
